This is the first time I experienced a change in season. Seeing leaves and flowers sprouting from poor, bald branches….makes me so happy.

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, in a small small town, there was this famous bakery.
This famous bakery is loved by everyone as they make the best cakes in town.

Guess who is the baker in this famous bakery?
It is Mr. Rabbit!!!
Mr. Rabbit never ceases to surprise everyone in town with the delicious cakes he bakes.

As time passed by, many people from this small small town left their families to work in big big towns.

Mr. Rabbit was not happy that people were gradually leaving the small small town.
He thought of a way to make people come back to the small small town.
He invented a magical cake.

This cake will only be sold on mid-autumn, when the moon is at it’s biggest and brightest.
This magical cake has to be eaten together with friends and family, only then will the magic take effect, making it the best tasting cake in the world.

Everyone heard of this magical cake and came back to the small small town during mid-autumn.
They all sat down together to share this magical cake with their family and friends.

The magic in the magical cake took effect!
It tasted like the best cake in the world!

It was now, everyone realized that there was actually nothing magical about the magical cake.
Rather, it was the feeling of happiness, when families and friends come together to spend time together and eat.

The Jade Emperor was touched by Mr. Rabbit’s good deeds.
He summoned Mr. Rabbit to his heavenly court and asked him:
“I will grant you one wish, tell me, what do you want Mr. Rabbit?”

Mr. Rabbit said:
“Fame I don’t want,
Fortune I don’t want,
But… what I really want, would be to have the prettiest girl in the world be my bride.”

The Jade Emperor was caught by surprise, he forgot that Mr. Rabbit is actually a playboy!
He was worried that Mr. Rabbit would hurt the heart of others.

As a a man of his word, the Jade Emperor was at a dilemma of what to do next.
The Queen Mother thought of a solution, she said:
“Why not send Mr. Rabbit to the Palace on the Moon, for there is only the pretty Chang-Er, the Moon Goddess, staying there?”

From that day on, Chang-Er was no longer lonely, as she had Mr. Rabbit as companion with her on the moon.
From that day on, Mr. Rabbit was no longer a playboy, as Chang-Er was the only girl on the moon.

They lived happily ever after.

Later on,  the magical cake was renamed into Mooncake, to commemorate the good deeds of Mr. Rabbit which now lives on the moon.
Every mid-autumn, everyone will gather with their families and friends to have mooncake together.
When looking up at the big bright moon, who knows you might see Mr. Rabbit busy making mooncake for Chang-Er

Happy Mid-autumn Festival to everyone ♥

很久很久以前，有一个饼家，他们做的饼是全城最香最好吃的

可是，你怎么也没想到饼家的老板竟然是一只兔子
这只兔子可厉害了！它常常发明各式各样的新产品来吸引客人

科技越来越发达，自从发明了马车，好多小城里的人都往大城去做生意了

兔子感到很难过，于是它发明了世界上最好吃的魔法饼
这个饼会在八月十五，月亮最圆最亮的时候推出
而且，这个饼不能一个人吃，要和家人朋友一起吃，
魔法才会发挥效率，变成世界上最好吃的饼

广告打的很厉害，离开小城的人都在八月十五赶回家
和家人朋友聚在一起见识这魔法饼

魔法饼果然很神奇，吃在嘴里甜在心里
此时大家都觉悟了，魔法饼根本就没有魔法
而是因为当我们和家人朋友聚在一起分享食物
就是世界上最美妙的味道了

这件事把玉皇大帝也感动了
他决定好好赏赐兔子
他把兔子招到天庭

兔子说它不喜欢金银珠宝，它只喜欢美女
原来啊这兔子是个花花公子，伤了好多美女的心
这回玉皇大帝头大了
他心想要是他把美女送给了兔子
而兔子又再劈腿
那玉皇大帝不就变成了千古罪人

聪明的王母娘娘提出了一个好主意
就把兔子送到月宫去吧
月宫里就只住着嫦娥美女
就这样从此嫦娥不再寂寞 兔子不再花心
他们在月宫里过着幸福快乐的日子

后来人们为了纪念这只住在月亮上的兔子
就把魔法饼命名为月饼
每逢八月十五， 当你和家人朋友聚在一起吃月饼时
不要忘记抬头看看月亮 看看为世界带来温暖的兔子
哦你看，它在搅拌馅料做月饼给嫦娥吃呢

Today is my birthday.

Today, everyone will treat me like a little princess.

Everyone will sing me a birthday song.
Everyone will see me and say: “Happy Birthday!”

I will make a wish, blow the candles, and enjoy my birthday cake… yummy!

And the most exciting of all! The many birthday presents I receive!
My birthday is such a fun day!

But… is that how I will celebrate my birthday every year?
I almost forgot. I almost forgot my first birthday.

It was a long, long time ago.
There was no birthday cakes.
There was no birthday presents.
There was no birthday song.

It was a long, long time ago.
It was on that day I was born to this world.
It was on that day, my mom suffered in pain when delivering me.
It was only me and mom in the hospital.

It was a long, long time ago.
It was my first birthday.

Mom, Thank You for bringing me to this world.
